Happy Pride Month! We’re celebrating with a cocktail that was created for Pride at the historic Stonewall Inn.

The Stonewall Inn here in NYC is where Pride began. In 1969, a police raid led to a five-day riot that marked a turning point in the gay rights movement. To the LGBTQ+ community — I support you, I celebrate you and I love you.

You’re going to love this Off the Wall cocktail for Pride Month! The sweetness of the pomegranate juice goes perfectly with a little zing from the ginger.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz vodka (their recipe calls for cucumber vodka)

  • 1 oz pomegranate juice

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • 1/2 oz ginger syrup

Add vodka, pomegranate juice, lime juice and ginger syrup to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, then shake until chilled.

Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a mini Pride flag, and enjoy!

Ginger Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/4 cup fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

Combine sugar and water in small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Add ginger and bring to a boil.

Lower heat, then simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Allow to cool completely before straining syrup into an airtight container.
