Watermelon Jalapeño Margarita

Is there anything better than a spicy watermelon marg in the summer? Not really! And since it’s National Watermelon Day, I think now’s the time to finally share one!
I rarely order spicy drinks when I’m out, but I like making them at home so I can control the amount of heat. I’m kinda pathetic when it comes to spiciness! You can tone down the heat by not muddling the jalapeño, or adding fewer jalapeño slices.
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz tequila
1.5 oz watermelon juice
3/4 oz orange liqueur
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz agave
2-3 jalapeno slices
METHOD:
Start by brushing the side of your glass with chamoy or agave, then sprinkle with tajin. Place the glass in the freezer to set while you make your marg.
To a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño, lime juice and agave. Lightly muddle the jalapeño.
Add tequila, watermelon juice and orange liqueur. Add ice and shake until chilled.
Double strain into chilled glass filled with ice. Garnish with a watermelon edge and more jalapeño.
Watermelon Juice:
Add 1 cup watermelon and 1/4 cup water to a blender. Blend until smooth. Double strain, and it’s ready to use.
