Total Eclipse

Are you in the path of totality for today’s solar eclipse?! We’re at 90% here in NYC and I’ve been nerding out about it for weeks! Naturally I had to make a drink to celebrate 😎
This is essentially a dark ‘n stormy, but I used white rum so I could make the drink black-ish by using edible glitter. You can also used activated charcoal powder, but that can interfere with some medications— so you’ll want to check before using that.
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz white rum
1 oz lime juice
3-4 oz ginger beer
Black edible glitter (optional, but like- not really hehe)
METHOD:
Combine rum, lime juice and black edible glitter to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, then shake until chilled.
Strain into rocks glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer, and enjoy.
