Strawberry Basil Negroni

I told my friend Bridget that this is one of the top 5 drinks I’ve made so far, and I wouldn’t lie to her — or to you guys! Trust me when I say that you NEED to save this and make it asap!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 oz gin

  • 1 oz strawberry-infused Campari

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth

  • 1/2 oz basil syrup

METHOD:

Add a large ice cube to a mixing glass. Add gin, strawberry-infused Campari, sweet vermouth and basil syrup. Mix until chilled.

Strain into a negroni glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with fresh basil, and enjoy!

Strawberry-Infused Campari:

Combine 1/2 cup halved strawberries and 1 cup Campari.

Refrigerate overnight. Strain, and you’re good to go!

Basil Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 3-4 large basil leaves

Combine ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until sugar dissolves.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

Once cool, strain syrup into an airtight container and store in the fridge.
