Is there anything better than hot honey?!
I’m pretty weak when it comes to handling spice, but I still LOVE hot honey in margs. I was truly obsessed with my Plum Hot Honey Margarita, and the peach version — well, it hits!
Did you guys like Peach Week?! I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing another week like this later this summer, so I’d love to hear what you think.
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz tequila
2 oz peach nectar
1 oz orange liqueur
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz hot honey syrup
METHOD:
Brush the side of your glass with agave or chamoy, then sprinkle with tajin. Place glass in the freezer to set.
Add tequila, peach nectar, orange liqueur, lime juice and hot honey syrup to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, then shake until chilled.
Strain into prepped glass filled with ice. Garnish with a peach slice, and enjoy!
Peach Nectar:
Blend 1 cup peach, peeled and sliced, and 1 cup water until smooth. Double strain, and you’re ready to go!
Hot Honey Syrup:
1/2 cup hot honey
1/2 cup water
Combine hot honey and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until honey has dissolved.
Allow to cool, then transfer into an airtight container.
Store in the fridge, and your syrup should last a couple weeks!
TIP: want it a little less hot? Do 1/4 cup hot honey and 1/4 cup regular honey.
