Where are my mezcal lovers at?!

I know it’s an acquired taste. It actually took me quite a while to enjoy mezcal! I think pairing it with a bright and refreshing flavor, like cucumber, is the perfect way to get into it.

Either way, you’re going to want to give this Cucumber Mezcalita a go!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz mezcal

  • 1.5 oz cucumber juice

  • 3/4 oz orange liqueur

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • 1/2 oz agave

METHOD:

Start by brushing the side of your glass with agave. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, then place glass in the freezer to set while you make your drink.

Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker. Add ice, then shake until chilled.

Strain into prepped glass filled with ice. Garnish with cucumber, and enjoy.

Cucumber Juice:

Add 1 cup cucumber, chopped, and 1/2 cup water to a blender. Blend until smooth.

Strain, and you’re ready to go! This should give you about 1 cup of cucumber juice.

To get that vibrant green color, I don’t peel my cucumbers before blending. Just make sure you give them a good scrub first!
