Charred Corn Mezcalita
Watch the recipe video on Instagram.
Nothing says 4th of July more than corn on the cob, so I had to create a cocktail version for you guys! The smokiness from the mezcal pairs so perfectly with the corn- I couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out!
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup charred corn
2 oz mezcal
1/2 oz orange liqueur
1 oz lime juice
1/2 oz agave
METHOD:
Start by charring your corn, either on a grill or on your stove. Allow to cool, then slice corn from the cob.
Prep your glass by brushing the side with agave, then sprinkling with tajin. Place in freezer to set while you make your cocktail.
Add corn and lime juice to cocktail shaker. Muddle until corn is broken down.
Add mezcal, orange liqueur and agave. Add ice and shake until chilled.
Double strain into glass filled with ice. Garnish with some more corn kernels, and enjoy.
