Butterfly Pea Coconut Margarita

You guys have been patiently waiting for this one that I teased for Margarita Week. And trust me when I say that it is worth the wait!

I’m obsessed with the beautiful color from butterfly pea flower (who isn’t?!) and I’m so glad I finally played around with infusing tequila with it! If this isn’t an elevated marg, I don’t know what is!

INREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz butterfly pea-infused tequila*

  • 1 oz orange liqueur

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • 1/2 oz cream of coconut

METHOD:

Dip the rim of your glass in cream of coconut, then coconut flakes. Place glass in the freezer to set.

Add butterfly pea-infused tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and cream of coconut to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, then shake until chilled.

Strain into prepped glass filled with ice, and enjoy!

Butterfly Pea-Infused Tequila:

In a mason jar or other airtight container, combine 2 tsp dried butterfly pea flowers with 1 cup tequila. For a smaller batch, combine 1 tsp with 1/2 cup tequila.

Shake, then let sit overnight. The longer it sits, the deeper the color will be!
