Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade

Does anyone else’s phone autocorrect blackberry to BlackBerry?!
This Blackberry (or BlackBerry) Bourbon Lemonade is perfect for Father’s Day and the rest of summer! The “lemonade” comes from the lemon juice and demerara syrup, but you can also use regular lemonade if you want!
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz bourbon
1/3 cup blackberries
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz demerara syrup
METHOD:
Add blackberries and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Muddle until berries are broken down.
Add bourbon and demerara syrup. Add ice and shake until chilled.
Double strain into glass filled with ice. Garnish with lemon wheel and blackberries.
Demerara Syrup:
Combine 1 cup demerara sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and slow syrup to cool.
Once cool, strain syrup into an airtight container and store in the fridge.
